For the past 20 years, Łukasz’s work primarily focuses on sound in the context of relaxation and meditation music, alongside a wide range of other musical projects.
His compositions often blend traditional instruments with electronics, where the main emphasis revolves around tone and the different timbres each instrument creates.
In addition to his musical passion, he has developed a deep interest in how energy is stored and flows within the human body. As a Lomi Lomi Nui practitioner, he combines therapeutic massage and sound baths to support deep relaxation.

Łukasz Sabat was born in 1980 in Brzozów near Sanok. As he says himself, he absorbed music with his mother’s milk—he comes from a family with strong musical roots. As a child, he absorbed music and fairy tales, which came alive in his mind as musical images.
In 1994 he graduated from the State Primary Music School in Sanok, specializing in alto saxophone. During this period, he developed a fascination with sampling and scratching, and with using computers in music, inspired by groups such as the Beastie Boys. At the same time, he became the leader of his first punk–grunge band.
Between 1995 and 1999, still living in Sanok, he focused on exploring technical curiosities in music and learned from his friend Dawid Jarosz how to use specialized software that allowed for creative sound manipulation. Together they formed the duo Tvvista Brada. Łukasz also performed as a DJ, creating sounds through his musical experiments.
In 2000 he moved to the Tricity (Gdańsk–Gdynia–Sopot), where he remained until 2011. During this time, he completed journalism studies, did an internship at Radio Gdańsk, and undertook several trips abroad “in search of work.” He created music under the artistic pseudonym Luke Klaris—primarily electronic music combined with live instrumentation and remixes. He also performed as a guest saxophonist in various ensembles.
During his “Gdańsk period,” he worked in fashion, styling, and on photo shoots. It was also then that he first appeared on the stage of the State Wybrzeże Theatre. As a vocalist and dancer, he played a small role in the play *“Szeks Show,”* directed by Monika Strzępka.
In 2011, he returned “for a moment” (as he initially thought) to his hometown of Sanok via Lublin. In Lublin, he took part in creating a roaming festival television project during the 2nd International Theatre Festival *Pleśń z Oczu*. At the same festival, he performed two concerts: one solo and one with Krzysztof Topolski (Arszyn).
He returned to Sanok after being invited to the 2nd anniversary of the Bazar Sztuki Gallery. There he met Angela Gaber, with whom he later collaborated on music for a performance directed by Maciej Patronik, a native of Sanok living permanently in Paris. This collaboration led to the formation of the Angela Gaber Trio. The band’s name was coined by Łukasz Sabat and Michał Szerląg during the recording of material for the Grechuta Festival 2011. The festival turned out to be a success for the group—the jury recognized the Trio’s work by awarding them a special distinction.
Immediately after receiving the award, the band’s lineup changed. Pianist Iga Wojtowicz was replaced by guitarist Aleksander Chikmakov from Kazakhstan. This change marked a shift in musical direction toward folk and tradition. In its new lineup, the Angela Gaber Trio won three prestigious awards:
* Third Prize at the Korowód Twórców i Wykonawców “Piosenkarnia” Festival 2012, organized by the Anna Treter Foundation
* Third Prize at the International Folk Music Festival “Mikołajki Folkowe” 2012
* Third Prize at the 16th Polish Radio Folk Festival “Nowa Tradycja” 2013
A month after the *Nowa Tradycja* festival, Łukasz Sabat left the Angela Gaber Trio for personal reasons. Shortly thereafter, he was invited to take part in two projects led by multi-instrumentalist and educator Maria Pomianowska: the Kraków-based Traditional Music Festival *Rozstaje* 2013 and the Gdynia project *Baltic Culture Wave* 2013.
In Gdynia, he also met Gambian kora virtuoso Buba Kuyateh, with whom he formed a duo. They named their project *Magic at Midnight*. Currently, Łukasz is working on his solo project.
